Please Add Instant Input Switching (Mouse/Keyboard & Controller) – This Is a Dealbreaker in 2025

I want to address a major quality-of-life issue that has become a dealbreaker for me, and, I believe, for many others in the community: the inability to instantly switch between mouse/keyboard and controller input in Path of Exile (and now PoE 2).

I have invested over 10,000 hours in PoE 1, but I stopped playing more than a year ago for this exact reason. After experiencing seamless input switching in other ARPGs like Diablo 4 and Last Epoch, I simply cannot accept going backwards in terms of user experience. It genuinely feels as awkward as trying to write a book with a controller or a TV remote – it’s just not practical.

In 2025, there is no excuse for not supporting instant input switching. Competing games have proven it’s possible and it’s become a standard expectation. The current system, where you have to choose one input method and can’t switch on the fly, is outdated and frustrating. For me, and I’m sure for many others, this is a core requirement – not a minor feature request.

I have already left a feedback on Steam because of this, and I will not return to PoE or consider PoE 2 until this is addressed. Please, prioritize adding seamless input switching. It’s essential for accessibility, comfort, and keeping up with modern standards.

This would be absolutely amazing! please GGG let us just switch what device we use without having to back all the way out this belongs in both path1 and path2. This is normal in most games, it just feels really outdated.
