Request for Offline Mode and Disconnection Issues

Dear GGG Team,
I want to express my frustration with frequent disconnections while playing Path of Exile 1. These interruptions significantly hinder the gaming experience. I kindly request the implementation of an Offline Mode, similar to what is offered in Last Epoch, allowing players to enjoy the game without reliance on constant server connectivity. Offline mode for POE will never happen, its analogous to leaking their server source code. Plus the game is online only from the ground up, so all the services are most likely distributed, actual databases, login servers, sharding etc, and all of that is their proprietary tech and money, they literally make money because they have server code and nobody else does, the moment that code becomes available to the public, even in binary form it will be reverse engineered and from that point anyone could mod and play offline without ever paying GGG a dime. Free tabs, free cosmetics, mods etc.
So their server is their most guarded and valuable asset, so it will never happen. |
