Cannot Use Chimeral Inscribed Ultamatum as P2 Local Couch Co-op

I have been unable to use and/or remove the Chimeral Inscribed Ultamatum Quest Item from my inventory since my wife and I did the first Temple of Chaos together as local couch co-op. Also, now that we are in the 2nd run of the game (harder mode), my character cannot even interact with the shrine in the first area of the Twmple of Chaos to attempt to use an Ultamatum
