Temple of Chaos Access Issues

Playing local couch co-op, my wife and I have issues accessing the Temple of Chaos Trialmaster’s Challenge. We put the Ultamatum in the shrine and are able to enter the next area, but when we try to select the challenge modifier, it always says “You must be the map owner to do this”. We tried selecting with both characters with no success. This has caused us to lose Ultamatums due to “using” them to enter the trial, even though we cannot actually do the trials.

This is happening on PS5

There have been several crashes in the trial of chaos for me on Xbox. Now I can't enter the trial at all without crashing. The special part is I am unable to access my character for 30 minutes anytime I crash in the trial.
