Mercs in Group Play

Only one person in our group can fight the merc. Are we stupid or is there something missing for an option to fight them both (per the announcement at 18minute mark)

same here, we cant figure out how we can party encounter a mecernary

Only 1 person(the instance owner) can interact with the Merc and determine fate. Everyone can damage the Merc should the instance owner start the engagement.
In group play you might want to switch up whom goes through zone transition first to allow others interaction with Mercs.

Im playing (was) group and that’s how it was working for everyone.
