My account dissappeared or changes

Hello guys,
The game forced me to link steam and i linked the account ive always played on and all my stuff is gone ?
Can you please help ?

Could you please help?
ive shared my steam profile and its public they can see that the data doesnt add up. i got over 5k hours in the game.
I had microtransactions and i shared the steam invoices with them.
What else might be needed ? the game even loads my previus item filter that doesnt even appear in this account.
What else is needed to get a reply ?

those are my steam stats... im connected with the same account and as you can see theres nothing here, I have been playing since beastiary leage (when you had to press v to catch monsters and it could fail)...
And support are unable or unwiling to help for 2 weeks now...

They are not overwhelmed, and that is for sure, since at first they replied within minutes.

Try making a new character log in and then log out to character select now look at top right of screen for the sub-account dropdown menu and switch accounts you'll have your stuff back ( if on console after logging out after creating new char hit r3 iirc on the character select screen for the dropdown menu and switch it )

GGG admited there are many account issues so i guess its an issue from GGG side (even if they dont admit it),
I just wanna restore my account and it doesnt seem possible ?
Maybe i should just ask for a refund via steam ?

When you initially reach out to GGG, whomever happens to be available will ask some basic questions. Once that has concluded, any issues needing to be addressed by more senior staff members - and anything to do with account ownership certainly qualifies - will be moved to a different queue.

This is what xjjanie#4242 (who happens to be correct) means when she says they are backlogged. Any staff sufficiently trained to be of much help in most circumstances is heavily behind.





What it sounds like has happened is that you overwrote one account link with another - so your prior account still exists; you just don't currently have access to it. Rest assured that - assuming this is indeed the case - GGG can help you (eventually...).

Just be aware that GGG considers such refund requests to be chargebacks - despite that objectively not being true, as payment processors are not involved, they are not subject to a chargeback fee, and there is no risk of them facing higher costs due to a high number of such requests.

Because of this, they'll seek to lock you out of the game on any account you currently have access to - and they will insist on you re-paying any money they lose to such refund requests before they will consider restoring your access to the game. If you're done with GGG / PoE and this won't affect you, then it might be worth reaching out to Valve to ask. If that's not the case, I'd urge you to give it ample consideration before moving forward with it. Given their tardiness WRT helping their paying customers, the pace at which they move to enact revenge might surprise you.
