Tangleongue + Amazon - free up an Ascendancy

I see a lot of people still using 220 Accuracy on Tangletongue 2 slots, which together with Penetrate Ascendancy provides +55 Physical Damage.

You can replace the 2 Vision runes with:
1. Soul Core of Ticaba
2x +12% Critical Damage Bonus which is added to base and multiplied. This is expensive tho, currently ~5div per core!

2. Thane Leld's Rune of Spring
2x +1-60 Lightning, currently 3 Chaos each
This is an average of +61 damage, already an improvement over the Ascendancy

3. A Greater Rune
Duh.

4. A corruption that's not a rune socket
Get a +1 Rage on Hit, which unlike all other +Rage, is not limited to Melee. So, your LS can make you rage! Or, get + Speed. Or something else, sky := limit.

Anyway, this frees up an ascendancy:

- Stalking Panther, use Evasion boots, Gloves and Helmet, and a pure ES body armour. You can drop Beastial Skin, Spectral Ward, Subterfuge Mask, and invest those points in in crit bonus or other damage. Ultimately, what looks like a defensive build, ends providing not just 50% more ES and Evasion but also at least 20% more damage.

- Azmeri Brew. Equip Waistgate belt, put 2 large health flasks, equip back your belt. There, 2 huge mana+health flasks.

- Mystic Harvest (if you're not bleed) Get Essentia Sanguis gloves and never die. Or, get a Soul Tether belt and either annoint Fast Metabolism OR use Couture of Crimson. Also, Tangletongue using a bit of health synergizes great here.

ANyway, long story short, drop an Ascendancy, enjoy the change in game. :)

You know, if you took the time to parse this rather than spend that time with a "naive gotcha", you might actually learn something. :) Because if you're suggesting Accuracy runes is the best option for TT then you either a) don't know what you're doing, b) don't care about meta or c) don't have the funds to pursue it. ;)

Point is, spending Ascendancy points should offer something meaningful that's not trivial to outclass. Penetration is the only Ascendancy in the game that requires you to use specific runes on your weapon. It might even sense if you're using a large flat base Rare Spear with 500+ base Acc, but even that doesn't beat TT, and it's a bit odd that a whole ascendancy can be made irrelevant so easily. It reminds me of Sorceror with "all damage shocks" ascendancy, which was entirely redundant seeing as with Archmage, well, 80% of your damage was already shocking.

So yeah, this post was intended as a light reminder that there're other options out there, so don't get stuck into something just because you're following a build.

To summarize, if you're using TangleTongue on an Amazon, taking Penetration will at best offer marginal benefits if you're on mid gear, or it's outclassed by various other options.
