Why are some MTX Armour Sets, double the points?
I see that certain armour sets are priced at $80 (or 800 points), but aside from their visual style, they don’t include any additional visual benefits—and design preferences vary from person to person.

Many MTX are initially made available through the gambling-esque mystery boxes, and not listed in the shop for individual purchase until after the associated mystery box has been retired.
Some armour sets (e.g. the 840 point Sin and Innocence Armour Pack) were originally included in mystery boxes, where you would get a piece of the armour set by, essentially, 'trading in' the corresponding pieces of the 420 point Sin Armour Pack and the 420 point Innocence Armour Pack. Hence, the 'merged theme' set was presented as being double the cost of the others. The same line of thought goes for, say, the 840 point Black and White Armour Pack and the 420 point Black Armour Pack and the 420 point White Armour Pack. The 'earn through combining duplicates' sets exist to encourage people to buy even more of GGG's patently anti-consumer quasi-gambling boxes - and if the subsequent individual prices bucked the 'more premium' trend, GGG might unwitting discourage people from buying the boxes. So, why do some cost twice as much? Some people will pay that much, and GGG likes money. :) I find it difficult to justify optional purchases to support a Tencent-owned development studio that declines to provide customers Technical Support, regardless of how many thousands of euros that customer has spent...
