Casual Player Feedback

Problem:
PoE2's recommended gem list is unclear, making it difficult for players to follow a proven path to endgame success.

Solution:
Provide a curated gem list that outlines an approved build—one that can reliably complete endgame content using only average rare items (or whatever GGG considers baseline gear for endgame). This helps guide players toward viable choices without overwhelming them. This is how new players operate ANYWAYS. They are advised to look at build guides.

Problem:
PoE2's passive tree is overwhelming for new players, especially when they see all class options from the start.

Solution:
Hide passive trees for other classes until the campaign is completed with a given character. This streamlines the experience and encourages content creators to showcase simple, campaign-viable builds—making the game more accessible and easier to learn.

Problem:
PoE2's new endgame map system, while visually impressive, feels unsatisfying in terms of gameplay. It feels very similar to bad quest design. Go kill 10 wolves. Go kill 10 Dire Wolves. It just feels bad.

Solution:
Reintroduce traditional map completion mechanics. The “catch-them-all” mechanic is attractive, completing maps for progress feels more rewarding and purposeful. Honestly have never been bored from all the leagues atlas progression. It feels good. It does feel bad to abandon the atlas map you have developed.

Problem:
PoE2's trade system makes it hard for players—especially new ones—to understand the true value of items.

Solution:
Introduce a buy order system, where players can post what they want to buy and for how much. This creates visible demand signals in-game, helping the system (and other players) determine an item’s value. It would make strange rares and niche uniques more understandable and tradable, even for beginners.

The hidden passive tree should be a toggle (for experienced players) and I actually prefer PoE 2's endgame to PoE 1's. But the rest of this I'm on board with.
This is the best what not to do post I've ever read to date. Please do the opposite or poe2 has no future

So you support "Complete 10 Map" quest lines. Respectfully hard disagree.

So you believe build guides made by content creators are a terrible thing. And should be abolished, and they dont serve the community in any ways. Respectfully hard disagree.

On, the other points. Would love to hear your proposals to problems GGG is trying to solve.
