Locked out of account

Hello,

During the launch of EA for poe2 I got locked out of my main account, likely due to the database merge that happened prior to it. In my attempts to access it, I ended up linking the EA supporter pack to a completely new account. I sent an email to support a few days after EA launch, with the most recent response from them being from the middle of January. I have been holding off on doing anything with the game so as not to make matters worse. It's been a long time already, and I'd at least like to know whether the old account cannot be retrieved so I can just go ahead and continue with the new account.
