GGG guys, why is the Ranger faster than other characters? Even when catching Hillock, the Ranger gets Burning Arrow, and its damage is also the highest among all characters. It seems like the Ranger needs a nerf. How about changing the level 1 basic skill to Caustic Arrow?

Sure, Ranger starts out pretty strong, but anecdotally if you look at builds going for Two Stone Runs, Ranger is outperformed by most characters.
It seems pretty fine.

caustic arrow would be just as strong if not stronger. Plus.....you get caustic arrow less than a minute later.

It's not just ranger....any ranged class is better than any melee class in the beginning. It always will be. You can damage Hillock without getting touched.

And the difference in "speed" you talk about is like....20-30 seconds at most.

Lmao what is this thread? You're seriously complaining about an extremely minor balance issue which literally disappears when you enter the SECOND AREA OF THE TUTORIAL?

Something had to be marginally faster than everyone else because the classes start out with different skills. Who cares if it's Ranger right now? It was Duelist for a long time before the nerf to Chance to Bleed, it was Witch before that, and it'll probably change again at some point.

Who cares?

Berserker used to be really fast with old rite of ruin, now we lost blitz. I do think its time for tailwind to be removed from deadeye if we're going to push poe2 ideaology on poe1.

As for hillock kill speed. Who really cares it only really matters in gauntlet when hillock can actually kill you.

Please don't bring back the traumatic memories of trying to kill Hardcore Gauntlet Hillock with melee. XD
