Other player's Hitbox in coop
Like the title says. I absolutely love playing in coop with friends in games like last epoch because there isn't really player collision between one another.
Meanwhile, in poe2, if you're in places like the mud burrow in act1, you can't run past whoever is in front, during boss fight your dodge roll desync you or you get stuck in your friend's hitbox and end up being hit by the mechanic anyway. I really don't feel like player collision between one another is adding any 'flavor' to the game, and is just making the coop experience more painful. Is there any plan to address this or at the very least make other player's hitboxes A LOT smaller than what it currently is right now? Been having fun leveling new characters in hardcore with some friends and when a lot of the deaths are simply due to being stuck into someone else, it really kills the fun. Really hope we get to see some changes to this soon, game has been feeling a LOT more fun in coop than most arpgs minus that one thing. Fighting pinnacle bosses with more than 2 people is pure suffering. Getting body blocked by your buddy and body blocking them at the same time so you both get slapped by xesht hands is fucking miserable. I have no idea why they implemented player collision. There is literally no reason to have it. Probably just lazy hit box inheritance logic for the game entities tbh. Still it should be changed. Really wish playing with all 6 players was doable.... but this mechanic makes it unplayable in most situations. So my buddies run 3 groups of two and we switch it up. Its mechanics like jamanra in act2 on Halani gate too.
Oh I smash the ground, then it becomes a tiny safe area that you have to walk into, goodluck with 3+ players. I understand why there is unit collision in the game, even if I'm not a fan of it, but between players really feel like its SO unnecessary. |

Everything is better when you're inside each other! But honestly realism at the cost of fun isn't the play for player to player collision. there has been too many frustrations caused by this in my multiplayer playthroughs! |
