Old mouse software allowed?

what is allowed in terms of mouse software? i have an old B2 vertical mouse i can't replace or find any new models of , it does not come with any built in software but has 3 extra buttons not bound to anything , what software can i use to bind and use them ? i found X-Mouse Button but im scared it might be an issue
is it allowed to bind them to in game options with an app as long as its 1 button for 1 button not an auto clicker? or the software might look like im botting? please help Last bumped on Jun 9, 2025, 4:34:50 PM

In general, we do not encourage the creation or use of third-party tools because they provide advantages for players that use them. I'm afraid that we're unable to guarantee if a tool is allowed or would remain allowed in the future. I would recommend refraining from creating or using any program that automates or does more than one action with a keystroke or mouse click as well as anything that interacts with the game client to provide an advantage over other players or provide information that isn't normally visible. | |

its binding 1 action to button 5 of the mouse no advantage just rebinding

At some point GGG became too terrified of saying something wrong (or a 3rd party tool adding something not allowed after they said yes) to ever actually answer any questions meaningfully (originally they would have extensive dialogs with tool authors about what was/n't permitted) but yes if that's all you're doing you should be fine.

Anything that's only performing simple key rebinding is fine.
