0.2.1 Targeting on Gamepad Prioritizes Loot Over Threats

Shrines are now much more reliably interacted with when using Gamepad.


I’m not sure if this is what did it, but now any item on the ground is prioritized over monsters when Interact is combined with a skill on the same button. This is mega-dangerous. I have picked up some useless item when I was trying to use a skill to kill the monster racing toward me. When active threats are in the player’s presence, I don’t think literally anything except only shrines should be automatically targetable. Targeting worked fine before 0.2.1 and prioritized threats over loot on the ground.

Context: I use an accessible gamepad to play and have a limited amount of buttons I can map to. This forces me to bind Interact/Skill on a single button.

there's an option to check/uncheck "prioritise loot over skills".
