Crashing in camp act 1 - vk::Queue::submit: ErrorDeviceLost

I haven't played POE2 since last year and it was very stable back then despite my older hardware (Except where fire effects get involved.)

I decided to try the new league today and I keep getting this crash in camp and occasionally on the login screen after the crash: vk::Queue::submit: ErrorDeviceLost

I've found various other threads on the topic but no helpful fixes so far. Has anybody here gotten around this bug somehow?
