Well I gave it a try, still awful.

I tried, but DOTH is a trash season that pretty much ruined the entire game. It runs worse than ever. Minions still dumber than a headless chicken. Only a handful of powerful skills + items to find. None for a class I wanted to play. Every interaction still broken, and or only one viable choice for support gems. It's beyond boring, tedious, and just zero fun. I came back after 0.2.1 beat all the boss challenges I had available (simulacrum aside because it's so badly designed it's a death sentence). Expeditions are boring, clustered, ugly on the screen, not any fun to interact with. Rituals are equally boring to interact with. Azmeri wisp is a mechanic designed for 1 button clears and it's stupid (a worse delve).

I get that zero work is being done on poe2 right now (all of our recent updates were overflow from poe1 design). But you really dropped the ball here and gutted a game that was previously at least a little bit fun. I sincerely hope the game becomes something actually fun to engage with, but I doubt it will be for another 2 months.

I would argue that the game was actually really good before in 0.1. Of course it was not perfect because of bugs/crashes and we were a bit too powerful but it had great promise. It felt so good, I genuinely thought it would surpass Diablo 2.

Then 0.2 came, and everything got gutted, the good uniques, the minion class got disgraced and many other classes. The game keeps getting bloated with more trash, and becomes more and more laggy/unstable.

At some point in 0.1 I wasn't experiencing any crash due to fixes but now crashing is a common thing. I can loot 100 uniques and all of them are going to be converted into a shard because they are absolutely useless.

I have more chance shards though...

Yeah, we now see more different uniques with 0.2.1 but it always lead to the same loop :

"Oh nice, a new unique I haven't looted yet, I hope it's not charsi food"

I think, it needs more time to cook after the gut fest. They just need to remember that the grind needs to be rewarding and fun for me to want to jump in. And yes that is going to mean that they make minions work properly...
