Pack density
I don't know what it is...
I like the gameplay loops. I like the loot... I like combo skills... I like the changes we keep getting... I don't like how I fall asleep in a couple of maps and stop playing for a few hours.... Why do packs need to be spread out as much as they are? I know in some cases they aren't, but in most waystones, I am wandering around in empty areas to fine a few packs, then another, what seems like forever, amount of time of nothing before another group of packs. My biggest pet peeve on packs: spawning on my feet. What is up with deli, breach, and corruption clusters spawning all on me, on all sides, invisible damage dealing mobs that are immune to my spells until they materialize? That is not the kind of pack density I am looking for. Hopefully with acts 4-6 and Blight, etc added, I won't stop playing after 2 waystones or so to take a walk. I'm ok with low density if they make them challenging like early campaign so you still get constant action, it's just more action against each pack with less packs. But that is antithetical to the other thing you mentioned which is packs spawning at your feet. If I'm supposed to have tactical combat you can't spawn a pack of enemies at my feet because the only solution to that is one hit clearing them. It's obvious that balancing of endgame and the campaign were designed with very different intentions. Campaign was methodical and endgame/cruel they just went for monster spam and one click clears. I'm hoping it's just a result of rushing on behalf of players that demanded endgame but I'm afraid they're just gonna pivot the whole game back into poe 1 where you're play by play decisions don't matter, just your character sheet. Obviously that's an exaggeration because it's a scale but 1 and 2 are on very different ends of that scale.
