i'd really like my character to move instantly

Nah, its part of the mechanic because of moving with point and click.

Go play PoE2.

If you are walking one direction at a brisk pace and you want to make a 180 is there a time it takes you to get your bodies direction changed?
Is there literally any scenario in which this would actually make the difference between living and dying?

I mean, in a real practical sense of things that exist?

Because you're talking about dodging an attack that misses you by a single frame, here. If you're cutting it that close, and you don't just use flame dash or frostblink to dodge, you're going to die constantly to latency regardless of this proposed change.

Flame dash will get you killed, frostblink is the way.

Idk how many times ive hit flamedash in a tight situation and nothing happens and I die cause it has a cast speed and something like multistrike or blocking or some stupid crap I don't notice cause to much stuff on the screen.

If you're playing something like a bow build i get it because charges but then you're playing a bow build.

yes
and since it exists in poe2 and any other game like dialo4 which are a little bit faster than poe2 yes this makes a difference between living and dying especially when dodging exarch balls.

yes thats something poe has since beginning which in my opinion makes it very clunky to play
poe2 doesnt have these turnrates or they're basically instant.
