With the changes to Elementalist, The Primordial Chain is now a useless item.

Now, I will say I love the changes to Golems and Elementalist, and quite a few of my starter builds pick Elementalist as their ascendancy because of the Golem changes specifically.

But the loss of the modifier "25% increased Effect of Buffs granted by your Golems per Summoned Golem" from Elemancer means that, for an Elementalist that is only using Golems for their buffs, they only need one of each.

Given that, The Primordial Chain has fallen by the wayside a bit, since it isn't particularly useful for builds that use Golems as their main damaging minion.

Consider either giving it some sort of interaction with Golem buffs, or reducing its "Golems Deal (35-45)% less Damage" modifier so that builds that use them for their damage have a reason to use the unique.

The Primordial Chain Unique Amulet now causes Golems to have 35-25% less Life and deal 35-25% less Damage (previously 45-35%). Existing items can be updated using a Divine Orb.

I'm on the opposite end of the argument, and posted to the opposite effect recently. I hate the build breaking changes to golems & elementalist.

But you're right about primordial chain. In fact, all the primordial items, now.

I actually used Primordial Chain on my golemancer (golem minions as primary DPS build) all the way through until 3.26, so I'd also disagree with you there, but my build is dead with 3.26 changes and sadly I'm not even sure that huge buff to primordial chain would be enough to salvage the build. The loss of Elemancer & chaos golem nerf is just too big a hit.

I'm doubtful any truly end-game build can be coaxed out of a minion-focused golem build now, 3.26 just strips away too much of what made it viable... maybe if the Primodial Chain removed the damage reduction and also allowed non-golem minions it could become useful for some golem-spectre-AG hybrid builds? I'd be interested to hear other perspectives.

I have to disagree totally with you, I stacked 20 golems and I am having loads of fun with 20 golems on my side and using primordial chain. I like the buff
