Party play and Mercaneries, loot buff

Can anyone clarify this? Will Mercaneries really increase the loot drop rate in party play? If so, I'm thinking of playing SSF (Solo Self-Found). The party loot system was already much higher than for solo players, and now this is happening.

Its half effective with mercenary compared to having an actual player as party member. Mark said that somewhere in the ZiggyDi interview.

Dunno if that is a good reason to go play SSF itself.

But here are the party increases if you have a player in your party.
Just cut them all in half if you plan to play SSF or solo with merc.
I would assume the downsides are coming with merc too, halved of course.


ie. With merc there will be 25% more currency items.

The loot % bonuses for party play are higher but what alot of people don't take into consideration is that these groups specifically 6 man require a very dedicated amount of time, effort, resource management, etc. to actually utilize the bonuses effectively. Some of these people play for 10+ hours a day 5-7 days straight as part of an even bigger group which includes dedicated traders when all is said and done they divide their loot accordingly so let's say they make 8 mirrors in a week but have ten people, 8 mirrors divided by 10 people....

I'm sure people are already planning to turn their Merc into a magic find culler. I certainly am going to give it a go on a build at some stage in the league once I have enough of the right items and know I can keep my Merc alive.

In a recent interview they said the memory chains can go up to EIGHT and you get a buff after each one that extends to the end of the chain. 9 player loot and juicing strategies almost as good as old meatsacks by their words. I foresee a league of 50 div or cheaper magebloods. A nice and comfy league.
