Locked Out – Old Email Deleted Years Ago, No Support Response.
|
Hey everyone,
I'm reaching out here because I'm stuck and haven’t been able to get help through the usual support channels. Years ago (about 4+), I deleted the email account that was originally linked to my Path of Exile account. It was an old childhood email that had become unusable due to endless spam, so I abandoned and permanently deleted it. Recently, I decided to return to PoE after a long break, but now I’m completely locked out. When I try to log in, I receive the message: "There has been a login attempt from a new location. A verification email has been sent to your registered email address." That’s the problem — I no longer have access to that email, and it can’t be recovered. I still know my login credentials (email and password), and I have information that can help verify ownership of the account — including details like characters, account creation info, and more. I submitted a support request to support@grindinggear.com about a week ago, but haven’t received a confirmation or any reply. I had reached out once in the past a year or two ago and gave up, but now I’d really like to finalize this and get my account back. I understand support may be busy, but I’ve spent a lot of time on this account and it means a lot to me. If anyone from GGG is reading this — please help me connect with someone who can manually verify my identity and help restore access. Also, if anyone in the community has dealt with a similar situation (lost access to email, no verification possible), I’d appreciate any advice or tips you can share. Thank you in advance, – A hopeful exile trying to come home Last bumped on Jun 5, 2025, 1:19:02 PM

We aren't able to assist with this over the forums. If you've already contacted us at support@grindinggear.com you'll have to wait for a response from the appropriate team member. Thanks for your patience!

"busy" is a massive understatement. Account recovery is the most broken support task since POE2 launched, GGG is running a month+ between replies with multiple exchanges needed.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? |
