Question about Incinerate + Whirling Slash
So, I noticed that Incinerate's burning ground does not need to be pure damage. If you put on, for instance, a Ming's Heart, the burning ground will do additional chaos damage as well. I assume it applies similarly to other effects with "Gain X damage as Y".
My question is, if I then use Whirling Slash to pick up this burning ground, will it only pick up the fire part or will the added damage as other elements also be picked up? I wanted to ask this since Whirling Slash usually can only pick up one effect at a time, and I want to make sure this is one effect and not one type of damage. Thanks. " Are you an Infernalist with the Bringer of Flame ascendancy passive allocated? If so, the burning ground isn't doing chaos damage--it's just that the ignite is stronger because the Chaos damage can contribute to the ignite's magnitude. |

" I am not an Infernalist. I'm a lich. I just noticed that putting on Ming's Heart also affects the screen damage for Incinerate's burning ground: ![]() Would it not affect the whirling slash's pickup damage in that case? I wanted to be sure since it was recommended by someone else but seems a bit suspect. Wasn't entirely sure if it's the ground effect or just the ignire part that whirling slash picks up. Thanks. " While I do see the Chaos Damage stat there, by my understanding Igniting Ground doesn't hit, it only applies Ignite. Is the "Estimated Ignite damage per second" also changing? And not related to effects which might only be in effect while at full life? " Reading the gem, it seems like a Whirlwind overlapping with the Ignited Ground would apply the Ignite from the Ignited Ground, and it's collapse would behave as though you had "Gain 50% of Damage as Fire Damage" (unrelated to the Ignited Ground's damage). |

Ah, I see, just needed confirmation that the whirling slash only picks up the ignite and not the Ming's part. Mings does decrease ignite damage on tooltip.
Many thanks. |
