Maven's brain in Phase 2 is not targetable and can't be killed.

You can't kill something that hasn't been added to the game yet.

It's something that's been broken for all of Settlers league.
When the Maven summons the bear boss from the Bramble Valley map, the attack where it creates walls then charges down them is broken. The walls become invisible, but the collision remains. In your case, it seems like one of the walls when directly over the Maven, preventing interacting with (damaging) it. Similar to all the reports of not being able to clear the Fetid Pools because of monsters spawning inside the pillar of ore from a Crimson Iron Ore encounter. |
