I do not know whether this is a bug or a feature, but I will explain it.

I prefer that my "Tab List" be open when I open my stash. I have used this setup since the inception of the game. Three days ago, the tab list "autoclosed" each time I close the inventory or navagate to a new tab. This adds several clics with inventory management, e.g., open inventory, open list, navigate to desired tab (list closes), dump itmes, open list, navigate to tab (list closes), etc...

i do not think it is a setting. I did not intentionally makes any changes to inventory management.
