I managed to create two characters of the same name, but now game keeps crashing.

It is as title says. I think it's because I managed to create two characters with the same name. One of them was in normal Dawn of the Hunt (after dying the first time in hardcore), while the other one was created in Hardcore and I died with it as well. Both are not SSF. I now keep crashing every time I try to boot up the game, even after reverifying game files on Steam. Can an admin check my account please and remove one of the characters?

I have no idea if it would help in this situation, but it might: if you go to https://www.pathofexile.com/my-account/character-rename while logged in, you can choose to “expire” a character’s name, all without having to touch the game client. When a character’s name is expired, another character can take it, which may resolve your problem. Assuming this works and you can get into the game, the next time you try to select that character (who will have an asterisk in front of their name in the character-select screen), you’ll be asked to give them a new name (which won’t be allowed to conflict with another character’s name).

False bug report, sorry. I had different yet similar named characters and thought they were identical, oops! But I got it to boot up now without crashing. And thanks for the link for letting me check, Dragoon! It helped in spirit.
