The past week increasing CPU latency

I've noticed several changes over the past week. I know you haven't announced any changes or hot fixes or server side changes, but there is absolutely some differences in the game.

The one change I am here to speak to is the CPU latency. It slowly gotten worse as mentioned, and today got to the point where it was unplayable. I had to restart the client every 20 to 60 minutes. At first, I thought it was me. I rolled back system updates including graphics and totally unrelated softwares, I reinstalled the game, and I even reinstalled the steam client (I run linux so I am relegated to using Steam). Come to find out, its not just me. My friend started experience the same thing earlier today, and tonight chat has been flooded with people having the same problems.

Here is what I noticed in the later stages: any form of input causes CPU latency spikes. See this youtube video...https://youtu.be/iZUcTebSf-A As you can see in the description, the first bit of video spikes (once the game was at the foreground) was keyboard presses. The second bit, mouse movement, and the third touchpad movement.

Being a Linux user, I tried setting proton back to 9.0-4 (and other previous versions) and it didn't seem to change anything. Thats when I started digging...

Thinking the files in the log directory would be useful, I started browsing. I found client.txt and it was filled with an astronomical amount of text. Anything in the chat box, or not in the chat box, is logged to this chat file. This one single chat file.

I know you guys are not idiots, but logging plain text to a single chat file where hundreds of thousands of lines would be logged in any given hour is, well, idiotic and very poor programming. Please improve this and give us control over it. Let us disable logging all together.
