Just played a bit on standard league poe1 after poe2

What can I say... It's amazing. It's after POE 2 that it's incredibly enjoyable to kill monsters, beat bosses, run maps, sanctum. How did POE 2 turn out like this? :)

It probably depends on the person.

I straight up cant even play poe1 for longer than 5 minutes anymore. That doesn't mean poe2 is amazing, cuz it needs a ton of work, but personally I prefer it to poe1 by such a drastic margin I can never go back.

That said, I'm not playing poe2 currently cuz it needs content.

What's POE2?
Poe2 is not a game. Yet.
I’ve just started a fresh playthrough in SSF Settlers in Path of Exile — and it’s an incredibly enjoyable experience, a hundred times better than what they call "PoE2"

"Vision"
Everyone with more than an IQ of 80 can see that PoE2 has potential. But to realize that potential? Well, they need to make the right decisions. And as of now, PoE2 is embarrassingly far from reaching its potential. The endgame is in dire need of a complete rework, the passive tree is as impactful as a light beer and build diversity (and build freedom) is just a mess.

I'll gladly switch over from PoE1 to PoE2 the day PoE2 is the better game, but that is years (and a game director) away.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Poe2 is now the test environment for PoE
Of course a game that has 10 plus years of development is going to be better. PoE 1 also started out rough as well and it took years to get going in a better direction.

You can't just import everything from PoE 1 into PoE 2 directly, it takes time to see how design changes will impact things. PoE 2 a year from now is going to be way different, it just takes a bit to get going. Will it end up being a great game as well.. who knows.
