Aggressive Defence & Fortify [solved]

Jewel states:
Fortifying Hits grant 60% increased Fortification

Tested it in map, my max Fortification stays at 20.
On PoEWiki it's listed under "passive skills that grant bonuses to Fortify".

Where is my bonus?

Wrong stat. Increased fortification means that your hits give more fortify stacks than they normally would. I.e if your hit damage would normally give 10 fortification per hit this will boost it to 16 fortification but it will still cap out at 20. For most intents and purposes it's a pointless stat. You want more maximum fortification.

Its easy to misinterpret this one since nowadays you tend to hit max stacks instantly (or nearly).

Tho looking back I think by the time you were integrating fortify (was support gem only before it got added to the tree) you usually did enough damage\hit frequency to not notice the ramp up to max stacks anyway.
