POE1, first act of part 2, lighthouse map. GGG please help, can't continue with the story!

Hallo Grinding Gear Games,

First of all, thank you very much for having developed POE 1, I have really been enjoying the game a lot, and am very frustrated now that I'm stuck on a map and can't proceed with the story of the game. I have a duellant and am currently in the first act of part 2, and having come that far in the game means I have a strong duellant, and it also means I can tell what a hard-to-clear map is; And so to get to the issue: I'm stuck directly at the lighthouse on the map “lighthouse“ in the first act of part 2. To clear the map and continue with the story, I need to fuel the lighthouse and for that there are 2 fuel containers that I need to move close to the lighthouse on both sides of the lighthouse, while fighting enemies, which keep popping up and respawning incessively and excessively all the time. However, I managed to get both containers to both sides of the lighthouse, but on the final stretch there are 4 blue dragons (2 on both sides of the lighthouse) incesssively firing very long-distance and very strong blue magic at my melee both-handed axe duellant (it is not fire, ice or lightning, but just some blue magic there is no resistance against and I also doubt energy shields would be enough given all the armor I saw in the game up to now that had so little energy shields, and so it is impossible to reach the blue dragons to destroy them fast enough, and there is no way to come behind them or from the sides to destroy them, and so it would require a witch with larger or large distance area damage or a character with a VERY strong bow, as there are also, additionally, all the other monsters popping up while moving the containers towards the lighthouse and towards the blue dragons, but I have seeen many bows in the game and they would not be strong enough to cope with all the monsters while targeting the blue dragons from a distance, which would need to be killed many times as they would keep popping up after a short while (while moving the fuel containers on both sides close to where they are now, there were also other blue dragons already, but I could come from the sides or from behind and destroy them and so I know they keep popping up after a short while), which would make the 4 blue dragons directly at the lighthouse even harder to manage. So, a witch with large-area damage from afar would be the only option here I believe, but I have come too far in the game to now restart the game and play as a witch, just because even a strong duellant like my duellant has no chance, and my duellant has already higher movement speed, higher melee range, enough health potions and a critical attack-increasing potion and golem, plus lots of armour, and I maxed out the passive skill of getting percentages of life when attacking monsters; and I can also kill all the monsters that keep popping up around the containers on the final stretch on both sides of the lighthouse with one hit doing 360 degree higher-ranged melee phycical, fire and ice attacks with heavily increasded attack strength, due to passive skills and gems, BUT even with all that, there is simply no way to reach the 4 blue dragons before getting killed by them (and even though I can kill the monsters popping up around the containers on the final stretch on both sides of the lighthouse, i.e. the blue ghost monsters, it's even with all the things my duellant can and has, it's just all simply too much in total to deal with, i.e. the ghosts while the blue dragons keep firing strong-long-distance magic at me, all while I need to stay close to the containers so that they move (very slowly...) in the direction of the blue dragons and the lighthouse). And I tried so many times, only to be killed over and over again and run across the whole map to the lighthouse over and over again, and have come too far in the game than to quit or restart as a witch, and so I have contacted you asking you to please remove the four dragons on the final stretch directly next to both sides of the lighthouse or decrease their firing range and/or firing strength, so that I and perhaps also other players that face similar issues can proceed with the story. Thank you very much in advance.
Also, what I would recommend is to increase the number of checkpoints on all the maps (there is currently only a checkpoint when you enter a map and when you come across a waypoint), so that when players get killed they do not need to run across the whole map, and on some maps there is a very long walk, plus related to this I recommend reducing the density of monsters on some maps.

The Spectral Ordnance enemies in The Beacon deal Fire damage.

How much health and Fire Resistance does your Duelist have? If you don't have 75% Fire Resistance already, see if you can increase it as that should help a lot. Alternatively, you could always ask either a friend or someone in your guild to help you with the quest.

In ARPGs, the campaign is a tutorial and the 'real game' begins at endgame - in Path of Exile, this means the Atlas, Delve, Heist, and other challenging, high level content. If your character is struggling to make it through the tutorial campaign, you may wish to consider following a build guide so that you know which active skills, support gems, and passive tree nodes have the best synergies with one another - it'll help you to progress further through the game.





The Beacon - and, thus, the Spectral Ordnance - were added to the game in 2017. They don't appear to have been responsible for a particularly large proportion of negative feedback, so it seems unlikely that GGG will choose to remove them or make changes to them at this late stage.

The goal of the game is to provide you with challenges that you can learn how to overcome.

Don't forget to drop a portal as you travel across an area. They are especially useful just before difficult bosses. That way if you die, you can come back close to the area where you died.
