" My guess is at least in part related to this game touching so much the hard drive non stop... really non stop. I think this as some other few games suffer from too large resources (targeting resolutions and conditions that most players in fact do not use) and the data coherence goes down to hell because of that. |

Game lacks optimization but they are coming later, in fact, a cpu optimization pass is coming next patch.

What are your system specs?
Sound like you are playing on a 10 year old laptop. I have 80fps in 4k with dips down to the mid 30´s from time to time when there is a lot goin on. Have a 3090 paird with a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and the game on a fast SSD Drive. |

I feel like the performance of this game has gotten way way worse for me in last little bit. Like a breach is unbearable.

All my performance issue went away when changed and stayed at DX12

I have radeon 6700xt and ryzen 5800X3D with 1440p monitor. Game normally runs at ~90fps (was pretty smooth during campaign), but often drops to unplayable 30-20 fps.
My bet is they are doing particle effects wrong. My FPS tanks whenever there are a lot of particle effects on the screen, mostly from shattered or shocked enemies, but also during breaches, expedition, wisps,.. the list goes on. When you add things like burning ground in map it becomes permanent stutter-fest. Game after campaign is completely unplayable for me. DX11 was unplayable even during campaign, I've seen best (but still bad) performance on Vulkan. Upscaling crashes the game. I asked for a refund due to that (another reason for refund I gave them was that game is bad.) but I was denied.... It's sad to see they are refusing to take responsibility for delivering faulty product. |
