Potential Chaos Inoculation bug?
I have been playing endgame for at least 4 weeks (at level 97 at the moment with different characters), not even close to a single death. Char is at around 5k energy shield, resistances at above 100 (to make sure I dont get less than 75 with potential map modifiers) and Chaos Inoculation. I run T16 maps, usually with only 3-4 modifiers, so at most 2-3 bad modifiers and 1-2 good.
The map I was running the other day was Blooming Field. Suddenly two deaths at the same map without even knowing what killed me. No monsters on screen when I die. Only thing that I know of is that is sounded like an explosion. I also have tailwind with 3% damage reduction and due to high attack speed I am almost always at 30% damage reduction as well. Map modifiers were totally ok (not anything with extra damage like crit och extra damage as cold or similar). Just monsters get chance to bleed on me which is no danger cause of CI. I can tank any hits from bosses at T4 difficulty, or any other hits from any map encounters except this one where I suddenly just die. Haven't been close to die after these 2 deaths, with same items, same skill tree, same skill gems. Nothing different. This is why it to me felt like a chaos inoculation bug. Is it possible that chaos inoculation does not work as it is supposed to? Dying at level 97 or above is extremely frustrating, losing that much xp. First time ok cause amelioration was triggered but second time it does not help cause of same area -> losing tons of hours played when it comes to XP. Suddenly I have not the same urge to continue playing. Can support look into deaths like this, to get further information what happened? Last bumped on May 22, 2025, 7:43:05 AM
