Cataclysm's Wake bugged

I'm at "Complete a Tier 12+ Corrupted Nexus". Just ran a Tier 15 map with quite a few mods and corruption, didn't do anything to advance the quest. Seems many people have had various issues with this quest. I didn't die, and had no issues until now. One thing worth noting is when I started maps, I progressed the quest a bit, but then ran some T15 maps with my friend who was higher level, and haven't been able to progress since then. That might have bugged it.

I went back into the dungeon and picked up a rare shield the boss dropped, and as soon as I picked it up, poof I got the atlas book and the quest progressed. No idea why the quest progress is tied to picking up trash loot the boss drops, but this might solve the issue for lots of people who are bricked! Good luck.
