Linux Support?
I have been playing a handful of PoE2 (EA) lately with my Brother and had wanted to switch it up and introduce him to the Story of part 1 so he can better understand the World/Lore of part 2.
We have been playing together since pretty much Early December and I only have just re-installed PoE(1) after clearing room on the pc to accommodate doing so. After having gone to his setup to help him to install the game, I'd noticed--Part II plays just fine--it actually is Not Supported with Linux OS! D: Seeing that Path of Exile 2 functions just fine on multiple platforms, is there any chance a patch / update may be made available for the first game--so as my brother and I can continue playing together (as he refuses Mac & Wind)?? Thanks. Last bumped on May 29, 2025, 12:03:00 PM

Path of Exile runs just fine on Linux. I tried it last week, just imported the non steam client into steam and ran it with Proton.
I'm sure the steam version of PoE runs the same aswell. U just need to go into settings and activate compatibility mode. Last edited by Sadaukar#2191 on May 21, 2025, 11:37:33 PM

Been running PoE1 on Linux just with Lutris and no Proton/Steam. No known issues with that.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

Yeah I installed it with Bottles today and no problems aswell, even easier than through Steam tbh.
