High latency on br servers
Hi, since the Path of Exile 2 - 0.2 patch was released, I've been experiencing latency on the Brazil server. I used to have around 30ms, but now it's gone up to 160ms. However, when I'm standing still and not performing any actions, my ping drops back to 30ms, and when I move, it jumps to 160ms. My ISP is Telecentro, and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina
This is the pastebin with my WinMRT https://pastebin.com/h8iH94GD Edit: After loggin again my ping keep constant on 160ms moving or standing still. Last edited by Soliban#5152 on May 19, 2025, 8:26:03 AM Last bumped on May 25, 2025, 4:16:41 PM

" Your WinMTR log is... peculiar. We see the latency appear here; " The pertinent infrastructure belongs to Telecom Italia Sparkle S.p.A. who are operating some of the backbone equipment in your region. Unfortunately, there's really nothing that GGG can do to help in this instance - though, truth be told, they aren't known for providing technical support at all. It's possible that using a VPN will result in being routed around the issue. Today… by divine decree… your patch of Excel, begins.

I usually don't have any problems on Brazilian servers in games like Counter-Strike, League of Legends, and Tarkov. I have to say that a friend of mine experiences the same issue with a different ISP, and he solves it by using a VPN, but having to use a VPN to fix this problem doesn’t seem like a real solution to me.

I agree. It is not intended as a solution, but as a workaround. Presumably the issue in question will be resolved sooner or later at which point the VPN will no longer be necessary.
You're welcome to reach out to Telecentro's support team to seek assistance with this if you would prefer. Realistically, if you attempt to contact Telecom Italia Sparkle S.p.A. directly they will ask for an account number & hang up the phone the instant you admit to not having one. Please understand that Grinding Gear Games is a New Zealand-based games development studio who pay a company with a data centre in Brazil to rent some of the servers located there. You can't really lay any and all issues with networking infrastructure in all of Brazil at GGG's feet. That your friend successfully works around the issue by using a VPN - which adjusts the routing of his traffic, but in no way affects GGG's servers - does prove that the issue is with the route and not the destination. I'm really not sure what it is you're expecting from GGG in this scenario. Today… by divine decree… your patch of Excel, begins.

hi! i have the same issue with TELECENTRO, the only workaround i found is using my phone connection via usb cable (tested claro and tuenti both 50 - 60ms stable no issues). Telecentro tech service wont do anything to fix this this and GGG doesn't seems to care, they are the only ones who can solve it

" GGG do not offer Technical Support - and as I’ve already explained, the issue isn’t on their end regardless. You are welcome to take your WinMTR log to alternative online communities if you would like a second opinion. The log is really quite clear that there is nothing they can do. Today… by divine decree… your patch of Excel, begins.
