Righteous fire/arc tank build

Hi! I have a question about what's happening with my mana when i'm using RF. I'm a templar/heirophant and built into Arc tank build and i'm using Mind over matter and Agnostic to help with RF. Occaisionally when i'm hit with damage that would drain my mana to 0 because of MoM for some reason I cannot regenerate any mana until I take off my gloves that have RF on them. Let my HP hit 0 and then re-equip my gloves and start the process over again. Sometimes even removing my gloves won't get rid of RF completely and i'll just be stuck at 0 mana until randomly a monster hits me or something happens and i'll begin gaining mana again or if I go back to my hideout it fixes it. I'm really struggling with this and I don't understand what's going on if anyone can help me. I can post whatever pictures or info you need. Please and thank you <3

It's a bug that's affected The Agnostic from the beginning, afaik--though you'll generally only see if when combined with RF.

When you're affected by a degen and drop to 0 mana, The Agnostic will drain mana at its maximum rate (rather than limited by the amount of Life it can recover) until your mana is greater than 0.


To handle this with recovery, you'd need to recover mana faster than The Agnostic + other mana degens (like Life degen + Mind Over Matter) can drain it, or recover a large enough chunk of flat mana, like an instant Flask.

An easier way to deal with it, though, is taking the Life Mastery where you count as being on Full Life at 95% of Maximum Life or above. Because The Agnostic only functions when you're not on Full Life, this disables The Agnostic when you're over 95% so you can recover Mana again.

That makes alot of sense, thank you so much for your answer! I'll give it a try and see what happens. I was checking my PoB vs the build i'm following and for some reason it shows I have -341 mana recovery and the other build has 1,500+ mana recovery. Which could also be a problem? I've followed his build fairly closely although i'm working on the ring as we speak lol. If you have the time I would super appreciate some more help :'). I'll link both if you want to take a peek.

Not too much of a problem, though I'm sure the extra recovery is nice.
The main reason for the difference is that their PoB has "Are you always on Full Life?" checked in the config.

While not on Full Life:
Your regen: -388
Their regen: -34

While on Full Life:
Your regen: 840
Their regen: 1548
