im at a loss
i spent the last 72 hours or so playing poe2 on speed running through hundrets of useless maps setting up three towers, even quad tower setups. I have 100+ rarity on my gear using quant, rarity, increased rare tablets and waysstones and all i got was a few chaos orbs. not a single divine? wheres the loot? what am i doing wrong? it really gets kinda demotivating running hours and hours setting up shit all for nothing. man i really love the gameplay and trying out new builds and setup but this is just to demotivating. how are you guys doing it?

I have no idea what your doing wrong. I was constantly doing the same thing. Quantity and rarity on bothe waystones and all towers and I need to do this to get maybe 4 exalts from a map.
Either there is a very specific setup that is needed to get the good loot or the rng is not set equally amongst all players lol. Im the same as you so I can't help I'm afraid. |

I have found my self playing the game in a very strange way. I run maps mostly for rares that I vendor for gold.
I then go to Alva and buy stuff like popular soulcores, essences etc for 1 exalt more than the "i want" and sell them for 1 exalt less than the "I have" price. This usually nets me 2-5 div per play session which I use to upgrade my gear via the trade site. Sometimes I can trade some of the gear I find for a div or 2 per day if I'm lucky but mostly I'm playing path of Alva.
" meaningful gameplay, jesus |

" Once I reach lvl 92-93 and upgrades cost north of 50 div per gear slot I either reroll a new class or just quit playing till the next big patch. Meaningful gameplay Indeed.
Idk, I play SSF and have gotten like 20 raw div so far. Since it is SSF I couldn't care less about it, but generally I set up my tower to farm deli or ritual or expedition for the mats and omens.
I did get most of my divs, like more than half, either from ritual or from expedition logbooks (the "chests" that are behind the fences). Imho trade is a trap in this game. It degrades the player experience to min-maxing currency farming. Reading something like Izu is writing - sitting in hideout to try playing the currency exchange for a trickle of currency to use on trade instead of, you know, actually playing the game and looting stuff - should have all alarm bells blaring at GGG HQ. And the solution is not: give them more currency. The solution is: make useful Omens accessible, make greater essences more accessible, improve recombinator probabilties so it isn't just a glorified dumpster for items and expedition mats, improve probabilties of rolling higher tiers on items (rn for instance if you use a smaller essence of torment on a white ilvl82+ 2H mace you have a, drumroll please, 0.098% chance of rolling max tier %phys dmg increase. 1 in a 1000. For one single mod) Last edited by Slart1bartfast#0332 on May 17, 2025, 4:24:06 PM

I had to open a topic too. For me, something in the last 24 hours has changed. All week the loot was really good. Last night and this afternoon, total trash--and I'm playing maps with bigger, better numbers on rares etc.
I do think SSF should have a very different loot table overall. You should be able to pimp out a character in a league without no-lifing.
" To be fair, the whole "hideout warrior" playstyle for people who just like to flip items is definitely a thing in PoE1 that people enjoyed doing. But I do agree in general that trade (in any ARPG) ruins the experience of actually playing and developing your character. I'm SSF also and it's because I enjoy playing my character and not refreshing the trade site/sitting in hideouts and trading. The hunt for your character's items in SSF becomes the game itself, whereas in trade all you care about is finding enough random whatever that's "worth" something so you can order your desired item at the drive through. Edited to add: " I do not want this. Last edited by plz#2115 on May 17, 2025, 6:57:27 PM

" If you want to trade and live in your hideout instead of playing, it's 100% on you, you have no reasons to complain really. Tech guy
