Tame Beast skill gem issues.

I just have a question, technically, that skill gem allows the player to catch a "rare beast", right? Then, can someone explain me why I can't catch beasts like the rare dog in the "crop circle" in "Ogham Farmlands" or the rare cultivated grove from the "Dryadic ritual" in the "Hunting grounds" in act one? Cause they fit completely in the definition of a "rare beast".

And they are not the only beasts that have that problem, the ones that are randomly summoned from strongboxes aren't able to catch too, also other rare beasts from other places in act two and three aren't allowed to be catched, like the "watchful twins" in "Deshar".

Also there are some beasts that are categorized as "beasts" and I haven't seen a rare version of them, like the "rotten wolf" from "Clearfell", the "fungal wolf" from "The grim tangle" or the "loyal jaguar" from "Utzaal" or the "petulant stonemaw" from the "Temple of chaos". They will be able to obtain as pets too (even if their stats are the worst of all) at some point?

Also there's a creature in "Sandswept Marsh" called "Bloodthief queen", that is uncategorized, it will become a "beast" or something like a "hieve" category?

"Boss" vs "Rare" is the reason. Open world/random rares vs named instance bosses/rares from stongboxes, etc.

I agree and saw that recently myself for a rare Blood Thief Queen not to be tameable. One would think a rare random open world BTQ would be considered a beast unless "beasts" really do have a sub-definition of alive and non-insect based.

So far all my beasts are warm or cold blooded only by IRL definitions.

I know what you mean about "instance bosses", but if they want to make them unable to tame (by lore reasons at last), i think they should make them "unique beasts" instead of just a rare beast with a permanent name, because if not, technically even if they were bosses, they should be allowed to tame, as it happens, as an example (and I know there are big differences) in games like World of warcraft (I know they are different types of games, but the "tame beast" mechanic, if not the same is slightly similar).

Apart from that, I would add (not as a reply but as an extension of the post) That i have tried to tame a rare random "brimstone crab" at "Vastiri outskirts" twice (two different rares in the same zone), and the gem didn't worked too.
