Maybe it's just me?

TLDR: I started playing this game cuz I personally loved the fast paced screen clearing shenanigans at end-game stages, it looked amazing to me. (This doesn't feel it)
atm it feels like only 1-2 classes / builds can do this, I want variety to play other classes to keep having fun.
Also economy is heavily based on a couple items the "meta" classes use to make buck.
Not all weapons and armor pieces sell as good, not even close.

Minor rant and my issue:
I've been just reading everything people post on here, reddit, youtube etc.
If i tune out the loud ones that just complain about trivial things sometimes i see nice feedback.

But what I personally noticed is that build variety seems a bit dead in 0.2
Like half the game is playing Amazon/Deadeye.
(including myself but i am in the midst of trying to find a new build)

But then I was looking on YT, POE Ninja, Guide sites etc.
And all i saw are just the couple builds that keeps being repeated with minor adjustments that i can count on both hands.
I'd love to play Mercenary for example.
I played Deadeye last league and this league as well, i need a change of pace.
But almost every build i come across is the same and it's absolute dog compared to the rest of the "meta" builds.
Like not even a little bit, it's a massive difference.
My first character was a Lich, but then I saw minions being so weak and still dumb i stopped playing it in hopes to return to it once i can fund some multi div gear.

Why I started playing POE2 personally:
I still remember vividly going to youtube after a friend recommended the game.
I saw a ice shot deadeye just blasting the entire screen away with some shots.
For me personally this was epic gameplay.

Cuz at the time I was immensely into this game called Hades, that's why my friend recommended me POE2.
I never played Diablo, Last Epoch or POE1 before this.
So here I was in 0.1, knowing zero about the game and playing my ice shot deadeye.
Got to a point i was blasting screens and i loved every second of it.
Currently have around 1000 ish hours into the game.
I was super excited for 0.2, cuz this was the moment i was on a even playing ground with the rest of the game in a new economy.

Going into 0.2... oh boi
We all know how this went haha, i won't bore you with the same details.
But what it feels like to me is that every single build got gutted.
Nothing feels powerful anymore except for a few outliers.

except for lightning spear and the recent whirlwind slash i don't see any wild builds that clear screens even at high investment end gear.

I have no clue why GGG decided to nerf everything to a point it felt like a struggle.
In some juiced maps i felt like i was in a sweaty COD lobby fighting for my life.

What I suggest for GGG:

· Don't nerf everything to a point it becomes slow gameplay.
Why change an existing formula that bore succesful fruit (POE1) ?
You could've just improved on that.
May that have been visually, or QOL changes etc.
There was no need to turn the game into something completely different.

· You can still make the game challenging by making the bosses have higher defenses, higher HP pools and more mechanics while keeping the rest of the game feel like "the vision" in early game and be a screen blaster at end game mapping stage.
It's like MMORPG's, the developers won't suddenly nerf everyone if they kill a hord of mobs in the open world fast.
As long as the main content for the juicy loot is from bosses raids etc which are still hard asf.

· If something is truly overpowered like Spark I can understand the nerf honestly.
But making it completely useless instead of just toning it down is not the way.
A balance for overall builds can be quite possible if everything is near the same damage level and comfort of using it.
I suggest buffing the underpowered skills instead so that variety will be possible instead of just 1 to 2-3 skills of each sub class.

Heck feel free to add even more skills to each class, that works too.

I might be a minority or a majority i don't know, but i love the crazy builds doing crazy things at end game mapping stages.
This is why i fell in love with POE2 personally, it was like my favorite game Hades, but on steroids.

Oh btw this is not a post that says "omg i won't play anything other than meta".
Completely the opposite, i want everything to playable and awesome.
Fun for everyone with the playstyle they love.
Hope that came across somehow.

From what I see you want everything to play like a meta build tho and that's the issue and how you'll end up disappointed. You saw the pace those wisp they added in 0.2 goes? that's the expected pace in PoE2.

If everything is meta, nothing is meta :)

Hey this build is 10-20% stronger than the rest, fine :)

But a build being 1000% stronger than all others is just nasty levels of unbalance.

I say this as a deadeye LS main currently lol.
I really want other playstyles and classes to play.
But my options are very limited, not everything can do T4 simu or high tier juiced maps.
