Game disconnected while in a party at end of Trial run and was unable to chose ascendancy

After I had completed the final boss of the first Trial of the Sekhema while in a party, I entered the treasure room to choose an ascendancy when my game lagged out and I was retruned to the main menu screen. The party leader, whose Trial I joined, remained in the ascendancy, and when I attempted to reconnect I was outside of the ascendancy room and could not teleport to the party leader.

This caused me to recomplete the trial in order to chose my ascendancy.
