Xbox Series One X Unplayable due to freezing

if i can get past the grinding gears loading screen my game will always freeze and crash with the sound repeating itself over and over after a few minutes. not only this but it almost hard locks my xbox as well. hitting home screen and quitting poe 2 sometimes works but its always laggy. this only happens when playing poe 2 since the H update.
