Special Blight map are lagged and the fps drops to 5
Hi, When a lot of mobs appear on the map, the game starts lagging and the fps drops to 5.
Cpu - intel 4x core Gpu - Radeon RX 550 4Gb ram Memory - 8Gb Ram SSD - 250 Gb Windows resolution - 1280x720 Renderer - DX 11 Windowed fullscreen VSync - off Triple buffering - Disabled Antialiasing quality Disabled Upscale mode - bilinear Sharpness - 15% Lightning - shadows Shadow quality - low Sun shadow quaality - low Number of light - low Bloom - 25% Depth of Field - Disabled Water detail level - low Texture quality - medium Texture Filtering - Trilinear filtering Dinamic culling - enabled Dinamic resolution - enabled target framerate - 60 engine multithreding - disabled When I turn on engine multithreading, the fps is still 5 on the Blight map. I also can't use the multithreading engine because it's broken, it worked 5 years ago, my computer settings haven't changed, but now it's causing fps spikes and computer cores to behave erratically. In 2015, there was a --wait for preload function, it allowed me to play the game without lags, but it was disabled, please return this function for manual use, I would use it to complete Blight map. Which CPU do you have?
You say you're using the DirectX 11 API. I notice you've an AMD GPU - have you tried Vulkan? I wouldn't say it's a black-and-white rule for every model, but in general their products are better optimised for it. Vulkan is heavily based on Mantle - an API developed by AMD themselves. I'm also wondering if its comparatively low CPU usage may be beneficial for you. For your system I would be inclined to advise changing to Fullscreen mode unless you are attempting to use another program (e.g. Spotify), perhaps on a second screen. Exclusive fullscreen will reduce / eliminate performance implications of other windows (but not their associated processes). Ultimately, I'm afraid there's likely limits to how well such content will perform on that system. I can appreciate you've taken some drastic steps already (e.g. the resolution), but Blight Maps are infamous for the number of models they spawn within rendering range at one time, and there's a limit to how well optimised that can ever be. I worry that certain hardware limitations - such as your 4 GB of VRAM - may be difficult to overcome. We might be able to eek out some incremental improvements, but I don't think we'll achieve any night-and-day differences without newer hardware. Today… by divine decree… your patch of Excel, begins.

I tried to turn on vulkan, the game crashes and crashes and returns the setting to DX11, maybe I don't have drivers for vulkan, I read that only one driver is installed, either the usual ones on the video card or vulkan, I have the usual ones. I understand you, thank you for your response and help, I will update the equipment whenever possible. |
