PoE2 gets QoL features that we have been asking for years in PoE1? (Splinter & Rolling strongboxes)
It still boggles the mind that in 3-6 months PoE2 is getting QoL features that people have been asking about for years (Probably DECADES).
Credit where credit is due. Mark really is delivering on the technical debt of the PoE2. PoE1 was sidelined, I get it... But even when it was not GGG always stuck to their guns about this stuff for a long time. Now, as soon as new players are here they are bending over backward to please them. Makes me feel like the "old girlfriend" that got replaced. I think GGG can be better. But its a long road to get that trust back. This version is the company is really far from the small indie dev they aspired to be. Hope Mark & Johnathan can earn that player trust back. But its going to be a journey. I guess PoE Two players didnt like to FEEL THE WEIGHT of each click. Expect more of things like that, becuase they have no choice. If players will start leaving PoE 2, there will be literally no one left to fund them, because PoE players for sure wont give them any more money.

" This! PoE2 is supposed to be a "modern game". This whole business model of "drip-feeding" us QoL improvements over a span of a decade just ain't going to cut it when the game is supposed to be a step up from its predecessor. I'm really "excited" to see what they are going to do with PoE2 leagues and how much recycling (from PoE1 leagues) we will see, and how much they care about refining those mechanics. |

Don't worry, PoE still has way more QoL features than PoE2 and the fact that these haven't been in-game in PoE2 from the get-go speaks VOLUMES.

Poe2 will take YEARS to reach the game level of Poe1.
I wont wait years to play a beta garbage ,while a good game is dead. |

Here was me thinking they'd just take the unbelievably easy win of reducing how many splinters you actually need for a breachstone
300 is the dumbest number I can't see how it got through a design meeting, 100 is already stupid they do know we click on these right? Make it require 30-50 and reduce the drop rate by the corresponding amount. Not that i'm complaining about them finally fixing them dropping in stacks but they literally are doing iterative improvements on a problem they are 100% responsible for. Just fix the problem you don't need to do any stack drop changes then :/ |
