Been trying to change my email for 5+ months. support making me jump through hoops endlessly.
I lost access to my associated email account because the domain no longer exists. I told this to GGG through email back in December. Between the horrendous wait times, I have been given task after task to complete, from providing transaction numbers to make an alt account and play through part of PoE1 with it.
I've given multiple instances of indisputable proof of ownership of the account, but GGG insists that not only are all of these inane steps necessary, they also can't tell me what the steps are in advance so I can do them all at once, "for security reasons." The best part is I have access to the account still. I told them this too. I just can't receive emails or change the associated address. But despite all of this, they just keep making me jump through hoops endlessly. I have been asked and provided: character names and levels location account was created in IP address steam account steam64ID steam transaction ID for PoE purchases twitch account twitch drops was I ever in a guild Can someone competent actually help resolve my issue? This is no longer an account-related issue, it is an issue with your support. I have clearly already tried emailing you, and it has gotten me nowhere in half a year.
Please help me resolve this issue here. |

" Yeah it seems like GGG has no interest in helping their players. |

" You cannot possibly expect them to resolve an issue pertaining to account ownership over a public forum. I would positively lose my shit if they were willing to do this. I won't attempt to excuse their poor response times - but this is a problem of your own making rather than something they themselves are responsible for (e.g. you buying something and not receiving it), and they absolutely do have a legitimate interest in ensuring they are speaking with the account owner before they agree to change the email address for the account on your behalf. " While people are being harsh towards each other, I wonder what managing to find yourself in this situation happens to say about your own competence? Just a thought. |
