Cross weapon skills

It could be fun to have some generic attack skills that can be used by multiple weapon types.

They can still have restrictions related to what weapons they can be used with. For example:

-slashing skills. usable by weapons with a sharpened edge. Axes, swords, slicing quarterstaff- but not other quarterstaves.

-piercing skills. weapons with a point capable of thrusting attacks. Spears, swords, daggers.

-crushing skills. striking with blunt force. Maces, flails, quartertaves- not slicing quarterstaff.

-long distance skills. Bows, crossbows, daggers(thrown), axes(thrown), spears (thrown)

-hybrid dual weild skills. Requires using different weapon types in each hand.

-some generic all weapon type skills. Like a 'raise weapon' guard skill where characters raise their weapon in defense, granting some temporary passive block/parry chance.

I understand each weapon should have its own playstyle archetype, but I feel having some skills we can mix and match might add more diversity. Or maybe help prevent 1-2 builds overshadow all others.
