Dark effigy server lag

My HC character just died to one of the many server-side lag spikes I was getting during deliriums running Dark Effigy. For context I did try to stack quite a bit of cast speed, and I was running +1 limit to Dark effigy so I was sending out tons of projectiles during these deliriums. But I still expect a spell designed to scale per enemy target to not be too resource heavy, or else it's just not a viable spell in big packs/HC.

A up for this thread, this spell is quite popular and it seems those kind of issues are usually hotfixed pretty quick because it makes the game unplayable using those spells.
Still broken after latest patch, it's unpredictable to play at the moment. Like 75% chance of melting the server's instance, causing it to freeze and result in "Kicked because to many actions".

I've invested a lot of time in this char, and it's pretty f'ed up if I can't play it because of some server issue.
So for the love of god, please, fix it.


Reproduction scenario, for clear:
- Place 2 Effigy's (Overabundance, Controlled Destruction, Arcane Tempo, Envenom, Ancestral Urgency)
- Cast "Contagion" (Unleash, Magnified Effect, Intense Agony, Chaotic Freeze, Hinder)
- Cast "Essence Drain" (Swift Affliction, Chain, Considered Casting, Chaos Mastery, Derange)
- Cast "Despair" (Decaying Hex, Heightened Curse, Inspiration, Cursed Ground)

Repeat until instance starts crashing.
