I entered a valid key and redeemed the early access but now it says i have no valid access

I redeemed the early access key, but now after I've downloaded the game it says my account does not have early access!
It went missing!

More import is where the key was bought.

To play on PC you need to redeem a key on the GGG site, which gives steam/epic keys to add to your library (these keys don't give access to play by themselves).

A key bought from an official seller along with a coin pack from GGG/Steam/Epic should be fine.

A bare key bought from a 3rd party reseller site is risky. Scammers are buying packs with multiple access keys using stolen cards and flipping the keys via 3rd party key sites. When the card fraud is detected and the payment reversed GGG invalidates all the keys created. At that point you're at the mercy of the key sellers refund/replacement policy.

Even ignoring the fraud risk those sites are bad deal IMO, you're not getting much of a discount and the $30 of GGG coins from an official seller will get you several stash tabs that will greatly improve your quality of life once you get to maps.

You're going about it backwards.

I wanted to know which platform accepted the key so I would know what type of key it was likely to have been; e.g. was it likely to have been a Steam client key, or had it instead been a key that this website initially accepted but subsequently disabled due to a chargeback.

Depending on the type of key it was likely to have been, we might potentially be interested in where OP sourced the key from (you talk about them buying the key - they never actually referred to making a purchase in any way, however - simply stating they had a key and redeemed it).
