If you want to play on Steam, then you will have to download it again via Steam. The standalone version does not work via Steam.

Hi there, to play Path of Exile 2 Early Access via steam, you will need to download the Steam client. You will be able to do so by claiming a key to unlock access to that client. These are available at my-account/early-access and can be redeemed on the relevant platform's store.
