Thinking about trying POE 2 again: Are Sorcs gutted in 0.2.0?

I stopped playing before 0.2.0 was released (because awful loot, awful crafting, no auction house). I'm tempted to give it another go with the new 0.2.0G loot patch.

I mostly enjoy playing Sorcs. After reading the 0.2.0 patch notes, maybe the Sorcs is completely gutted?
Is anyone out there playing high tier endgame maps with a Sorc?

EDIT: Oh, I have played non sorcs since 0.2.0 but only dabbled with a few classes, none of them interested me much.
