Kingsmarch to core, with a passive progression for buildings
I like short suggestions, so I proceeded and wrote this behemoth.
Goal for Kingsmarch: A hub for commerces, information and gold sinks. Other places exists, but Kingsmarch has them all. Changes to Kingsmarch: The town starts with muddy paveways and shacks each league. The Kalguurgans are almost desperately looking to trade with Wraeclast and it's people. The town grows slowly but steadily, as the Exile keeps buying their services, eg gambles, shipping, respecs and trading, with gold. Even the gold itself from other places finds its way into Kingsmarch. The town starts to feel alive, with all the farmers, blacksmiths and miners hustling in the background. Suddenly our Exile is known as The Precious Customer, but I'm sure they say that to all wealthy Exiles. Bonus: The people of Kingsmarch are making bets on you, and have a large whiteboard up for it in the tavern. It is your Challenges and their completions for the league. The other worker areas have other information about you. For example clicking on farmers you get your /played + /monsters + /deaths, and clicking on blacksmith you get how many of each currency you have used, including gold. And clicking on miners you get your... tips? /passives? /exp? Biggest hit or dot taken after mitigations for the 10 most recent areas? Bonus 2: Every other town vendor is still in survival mode, and trades in crafting currency, with the exception for respec and gambling services, which are done by different npc in each town. But Kingsmarch is in its glory days, and its vendors always deals in gold. But PoE is a grim game, so there should be some secret undertones that not everything is fun and games. For example with worker exploitations and with Wraeclast dangers trying to get in the city walls. Last edited by Celd#2630 on May 1, 2025, 6:40:47 PM Last bumped on May 1, 2025, 6:22:32 PM
