The single biggest issue for console players (Trading)
The biggest issue for console players in your game is how difficult it is for us to trade and know what items are worth.
PC players have 3rd party applications that they can within one click know if something is trash or if it is actually worth something and it takes no time at all they even tell them exactly how much an item is worth. Console players have to literally take a guess if something is worth trading then look the item up on your trade site plugging in each stat and takes forever. I'm willing to bet i have vendored many items I could have sold and kept ones that are worth nothing. In Diablo 4 there were trade sites someone could take a pic on their phone of the item and upload it it would read all the stats fill in everything and give you a idea of what the item will sell for. This game, to get high end items relies on currency and trade, console is screwed on that note because we don't have all the additional 3rd party apps that tell us hey I should trash this or I should sell it. I have no idea what the fix is but one suggestion in WOW and Everquest back in the day you had a market board in your house you could put items up for auction and or trade and when you put the item up for sale or auction the market would show you how much players were asking for similar items, and you could price it accordingly. Even better yet once you placed an item in market someone could buy it from the market even if you were not online it would go right into their inv on payment and remove it from yours. Then when a player logs in later in the day or the next ect they have all this currency sitting in there market they could withdraw once you logged back in. I believe Black Desert still works like this as well. When it comes to the trade game console players are screwed. Last bumped on May 14, 2025, 9:22:31 PM

I completely agree. the whole trade process is slow and clunky and full of bots. we need a auction house or something like the trade board we had in poe 1

Truth there is no way possible to know every item for every build and if its worth anything or not pc players don't have that issue due to third party apps that tell you exactly what an item is worth.

i actually just found a phone app (iphone) over the weekend called PathofPriceCheck that works like the PC third party apps. you can take a picture of the item in the app, pick which stats to filter for, and then search trade site listings just like the PC apps do.
the free version shows you trade listings with prices. you have to pay $10/year to be able to see the stats of all trade site listings it pulls up if you want to get a better idea of what you can sell the item for. free version is good enough for most people though to give you a starting point to know if items are trash or actually worth something. |

As a dev saying this is better done by 3rd party but we dont think "some" 3rd party should be allowed what is the grey area... and apparently bots controlled "player economy" is it and unclear barriers are also unfortunately... take what we got... goin back to poe1 on PC will be fine... on our small console locked poe1 economy will remind you. Be
Happy we are linked. |

The fact that GGG wants you to pay them money for this game then says use a 3rd party app that charges you more money to play the game and also exposes you to fraud and piracy is absolutely pathetic at best.
They can make a trade UI because it's in Poe 1. The reason they refuse to do so is OURE GREED as they 1: get more investment cash when players spend more time in game(idle because we're on our fkn phone/another website) and they absolutely are profiteering from these 3rd party apps and RMT and piracy bots. |

I remember there was an in-game trading board in Path in Exile 1. Go to the board, in-game, post your item for sale or search for the items you want. Submit the payment and wait for the person to reply. When they do, they'll either reject it or accept it, and you'll get a message to check the board and receive your item.
They could simply put that in PoE2. What I'm currently doing is when I'm selling an item, I'll go to the trade site. Go to the stat filter and type in the exact item I have, then click search. And then, I'll compare what everyone else is selling for and post it as the exact same price. Even though it may be slow, it's still worth it, and it works for the time being. So it's not a serious complaint, it's just an inconvenience. |
